Overview
Founded in 2002, The Meineke Car Care Bowl takes place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. It features a matchup of the #3 selection from the Big East Conference against the #4 pick from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
College football’s first bowl game to call the Carolinas home, this year’s Meineke Car Care Bowl will take place on New Years Eve for the second time in 8 years. Kickoff is set for 12:00 noon on Friday, December 31st and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The Meineke Car Care Bowl has been a tremendous success, both on the field and off. Over the past eight years, the Meineke Car Care Bowl has averaged over 60,000 fans, with three sellouts. The game has reached over 22 million total households and garnered some of the highest ratings on ESPN. All of this has translated into the Meineke Car Care Bowl becoming one of the most successful bowl games in the country.
